Genre/Influences: EBM.

Bands: Jäger 90, Struma, The Pain Machinery, A.D.A.C.8286, Muscles On The Move, V.e.N., Analogo EBM ao….

Content: Electro Arc moves into pure old-school EBM featuring 17 bands from the scene.
There’re a few familiar names on the list like Struma, V.e.N., A.D.A.C.8286 plus a few famous formations like Jäger 90 and The Pain Machinery. But most of the bands featured on this sampler are rather young and upcoming formations. There’s no doubt about the purpose of this sampler, which is entirely devoted to EBM. Most of the bands are dealing with the pure and good-old EBM style while a few other bands are mixing EBM with a few more influences. Most of the tracks are rather short, but powerful.

Net.Ware Delight” reminds me of the good-old days of body music and there’s no better band than Jäger 90 to kick off the compilation. Struma confirms their potential with the icy body-cut “Dina Ord (Extended Klang Mix)”. The Pain Machinery is another attention grabber featuring an “EBM Mix” of “Weekend Warrior”. V.e.N. is another noticeable band dealing with a fast and totally retro-like cut.

Among the less familiar, but promising formations I want to mention Toxic Green and their song “EBM (Oldschool)”. The title of the song avoids any form of creativity, but it’s a hard and terrific piece recovered with a dark lead. White Trash Wankers is another name to keep in mind. The track “T.R.A.S.H. 13 (Original)” sounds heavy and pumping while featuring a little technoid flavor on top.

Conclusion: “Net.Ware Delight” is the kind of compilation that will not get the exposure of bigger samplers on the scene, but it’s a real cool and efficient release for all EBM lovers.

Best bands: Toxic Green, White Trash Wankers, Jäger 90, The Pain Machinery, Struma.

Net.Ware Delight * Review @ Klangwelt

2013/08/13

A.D.A.C. 8286 verbinden gekonnt schleppendes Tempo mit wütenden Vocals.

New Old School EBM compilation: Net Ware Delight

2013/08/13

New Old School EBM compilation: Net Ware Delight
Electro Arc never sleeps! Electro Arc looks for old school beats!

And Electro Arc has found them!

Net Ware Delight, coming September, 20th, 2013. Unsure if it will be online or CD release, so a question about this has been sent to mr. Electro Arc.

The tracks list is below, and this time it is entirely old school/anhalt EBM. Among others it is especially good to see a new track from A.D.A.C. 8286 (we have been waiting for a new album for many years now!), as well as Pact of Warsaw (which is coming next year with a new album through EAR). We also have White Trash Wankers which is the new crazily awesome project from members from Stechschritt and A.D.A.C. 8286.

V.E.N. – Last Seconds review @ Altered Frequencies

2013/06/16

V.e.N. aka Virtual Explorer of Noise are an industrial act from Budapest, Hungary. The band mix EBM and aggressive industrial on this EP. It was mastered and recorded by István Gazdag (First Aid 4 Souls) and it features four versions of the title track plus a demo track.

Last Seconds (2013 Edit)” is a really beat heavy track with shouted vocals and great keyboard stabs that would sound awesome in a club. “Last Seconds (EBM Version by Cyberpsiichosis)” is a more euro house version, but still keeping the integrity of the song. “Last Seconds (Industry Mix)” has more electronic sounds going on, kind of acid house touches here and there, but it still keeps the song from sounding unlike the original version. “Half Dead Life (Demo)” is a really cool sounding instrumental track that has a nice mix of EBM and early techno. “Last Seconds (First Version)” is the original and still is the most powerful of the remixes on here, sounding strong and in your face and makes you want to shout along to it.

A nice EP with really well done remixes that don’t stray from the original a lot, instead they add to the original and give it a nice push into a different sound. I’m looking forward to more from them in the future.

V.E.N.
Last Seconds
ELECTRO ARC

V.E.N, AKA Virtual Explorer of Noise are one of the newest industrial acts to emerge from eastern Europe. The band mix ebm and aggressive industrial in the vein of early Suicide Commando, Combichrist and Grendel, which isn’t the most original concoctions these days, but their début EP ‚Last Seconds‚ nonetheless shows a lot of potential from the Hungarian trio.

Mastered and recorded by István Gazdag (First Aid 4 Souls), the EP features four versions of the title track plus a demo, so there really isn’t much in the way of scope for an initial presentation. That said the title track is a pretty solid offering with it’s strong dance beats and catchy melodies. However the Last SecondEBM Version‚ by Cyberpsiichosis and the ‚Industry Mix‚ feel like the strongest versions of the song. ‚Half Dead Life‚ is a nice danceable instrumental that, despite its rough style, is a solid piece of songwriting. The final version of ‚Last Seconds‚ is the demo song, and with three perfectly viable alternatives preceeding it is just superfluous.

It would have been nice to get another finished song on the EP or even a remix of an unreleased track. But for a first venture ‚Last Seconds‚ isn’t bad. Yes it is a little blinkered and could do with some tweaking here and there. But ultimately it is enjoyable and shows promise.

V.e.N. – Last Seconds EP

2013/02/04

V.e.N. – Last Seconds

V.e.N. (Virtual Explorer of Noise)
is one of the newest Hungarian electro-industrial band from this Eastern European country.

Their homeland clubbers already know the energetic performances of this electro project, but now every electrohead can listen their dark, imminent tune.

Perfect choice who likes the endzeit electro from Dunkelwerk, powerful hellelectro like Terrolokaust or early Grendel and you are searching some EBM, minimal electro mixed with aggrotech!

The debut EP released by the Electro Arc label feature the title song in 4 versions and an early demo (Half Dead Life)

Attention! Hungarians are coming!
